Collection: What are Infused Oils?

One of the oldest forms of medicine-making is steeping herbs slowly and infusing them into oil. This process transfers the healing properties of the herbs into the oil. As the herbs infuse, beneficial, healing compounds are drawn out of the herbs and into the carrier oil.

After straining the plant material, you have just created a potent herbal remedy that your body can absorb through your skin.

Herbs Affect the Body Differently

Soothing: For sensitive skin, look for herbs that have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula, Chamomile, Mullein, Plantain, and Lavender are good examples.

Healing: Many herbs have healing properties due to their antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties, Calendula, Comfrey, Ginger, Goldenseal, Lavender, Mullein, Plantain, Turmeric and Thyme are great powerful healing herbs.
